Sinai on camel back

The Sinai is home to indigenious people, the bedouins. Through the centuries they have survived in a scarce desert environment. The only means of transportation was the camel. Sinai on camel back is back to basics and a very unique experience.

Day 1: Sharm el Sheikh
Arrive to Sharm el Sheikh and spend the rest of the day enjoying the scenery or perhaps snorkeling in the crystal clear waters of the Red Sea. O/N Sharm

Day 2: St. Catherine
Depart Sharm early for Wadi Feiran, the largest oasis in the Sinai and a famous biblical site from Exodus.  Proceed to Mt. Sinai and
overnight the hotel. O/N Mt. Sinai (B,D)

Day 3: Mount Moses - Wadi Melekhis

Rise early and climb Mt. Sinai.  Return to the base and visit St. Cahterines monastery with the Chapel of the Burning Bush.  Then drive to Wadi Ghazala. We begin our camel ride in the wide valley and travel to El Rawahbia and Gebel Melekhis. Overnight camp in a traditional tent..  (B,L,D)

Day 4: Ain Hudra

This morning we ride to the White Canyon and walk to
the date palm gardens of Ein Khudra. This oasis is supposed to be the traditional Hazerot of the Children of Israel. Overnight camp at Ein Khudra. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Nawamis - Jebel Makhroum
We visit the Rock of Inscriptions (Nabatean and early Christian inscriptions survive side by side). We ride on to the Nawamis, extremely well preserved burial chambers from the Early Bronze Age. From here we follow the valleys, Wadi Mothla taking us to the great pilgrimage landmark, Gebel El Makhroom. Camp near Wadi Hamam.  (B,L,D)

Day 6: Bir Safra - Wadi Arade - Sharm el Sheikh

We ride to Bir Safra with the opportunity to climb one of the
sandstone in the yellow valley. Wadi Arada gives a chance for another
canyon walk before a final desert camel ride to meet jeeps which will
take us to Wadi Ghazala. Ttransfer back to Sharm El Sheik by jeep.  O/N
Sharm el Sheikh.   (B,L,D)

Day 7: Sharm el Sheikh - Red Sea
relax in Sharm and by the Red Sea.

Day 8: Departure

transfer to the airport for departure.
