Starlight Dinner Sharm el Sheikh
One of the attractions in Sharm el Sheikh is a sunset safari into the mountainous Sinai desert for a romantic barbecue with the local Bedouins, or sometimes accompanied by an after-dinner show of music and folk dancing under the desert stars.
After a short slightly bumpy offroad ride into the interior of desert the scenery upon arrival is quiet impressive, with the surrounding mountains illuminated by firelight and candles. Waiters dressed in the traditional jelebiyas offer welcome drinks on silver trays, and lead you to the tables. The dinner in the desert set against a mountain backdrop savors dishes from the Egyptian buffet and mezze in an open-air Bedouin setting. Entertainment features belly dancers and folkloric groups performing to typical Egyptian tunes. Later in the evening one of Sharm's professional DJs invites the audience to dancing to modern rhythms. The memorable dinner evening often ends long after midnight.
