Soma Bay - on the southern Red Sea
Soma Bay is located on the eastern shores of the southern Red Sea, 45 kilometers from Hurghada International Airport . The peninsula of Soma Bay is about 5 kms in length and 2 kms wide. Soma Bay is a self-contained community and surrounded by the sea.

statues.
A visit to the Red Sea Monasteries of St. Paul and St. Anthony, the latter founded in the 4 th century and the oldest monastery in the world and with rituals that have hardly altered in 16 centuries, takes you back into the early days of monasticism.
