Kite Surfing - flying over the Red Sea

Kite surfing Red SeaKiteboarding is the infusion of multiple other sports like kiteflying, wakeboarding, and windsurfing. It is one of the fastest growing new water sports. Kite surfing as a sport exists since the late 1990's and was almost instantly introduced in Egypt in early 2000.
Kite surfers use inflatable kites pulling a small surfboard to glide through water and air.
The sport realizes man's eternal dream of flying.Moeover the extreme sport is easy to learn. Once you get to the point where you are up in the air and riding, it is not that difficult to have a lot of fun by doing low jumps and freestyle maneuvers. To get going and to be able to stay upwind you need about 8 - 10 knots (15 to 19 km/h) on a big kite.

Kite surfing Red SeaThe Red Sea and both the Gulf of Aqaba and the Gulf of Suez provide perfect kite surf conditions. The wind in the Red Sea is created by the difference in temperature between the land and the sea and blows all year around. The wind will generally pick up during the day and can often start early and sometimes blow all day depending on location and season.
